Choose You Day May 12th, 2011

"Choose You Day" is the American Cancer Society's national movement that inspires women to stay well by putting their health first and making healthy lifestyle choices to help prevent cancer. Did you know that one in three American women will get cancer in her lifetime? About half of cancer deaths could be prevented with healthy lifestyle choices, like maintaining a healthy weight through diet and regular exercise, avoiding tobacco products and getting regular cancer screening tests. Additionally, in a national survey, 95% of women said they feel a need to improve their health, but more than half admit they prioritize the health of others above their own. Being a cancer survivor myself, I am inviting you to join the Choose You movement and help yourself and your friends and family to make their health a priority and take the fist step toward cancer prevention. I have signed up to be a team coordinator for "Choose You Day" - a day when we all show our commitment to healthy living by "sneaking up on cancer". To join my team, all you have to do is donate $5 to the American Cancer Society (instructions to follow)and wear your favorite pair of sneakers and Choose You Blue (light blue) on May 12th. It's that simple! When you register for Choose You Day and make your $5 donation, you will get access to fun and useful items to celebrate taking the first step in putting your health first, including desktop wallpaper, screen savers, an online health guide book packed with simple tips & tricks, a music playlist to keep you moving and more! Here are the steps to join my team. 1) On line, go to Chooseyou.com/chooseyouday and then click on "join a team". 2) At the very bottom of the page, click on the box that says "search for a team". 3) The teams are in alphabetical order - click on "Bella Garden Florals". 4) Then there will be a box with my name "Debra Agnew" and "Bella Garden Florals" you will want to click "join team". 5) The participation type is $5 so just click on next step at the bottom right. 6) Click on "new user" and after that, just follow the steps to set up your information.
