Wedding December 18, 2010

Congratulations to Laura & Brad on their marriage Saturday December 18th. I met Laura through my nephew Brian. I enjoyed working with Laura in planning her wedding flowers and I pray that their marriage will be truly blessed. Laura chose deep red roses, dark purple calla lilies, hypericum berries, pinecones and Christmas greens for her bouquet. This was the first "Christmas" bouquet that I designed and I really had a lot of fun with it.

Our store October 2010

Wow what a busy year it has been for us! We sold our home in June, moved into an apartment so that we could take our time and find just the right place where we wanted to live. We found our dream home and moved there in September. During our transition we also had a record year for weddings, had our first booth ever at The Ohio Sauerkraut Festival and now we are in the beginning stages of getting our new floral store and gift shop ready to open in November - watch for more photos as our store progresses. We are truly thankful for all of the blessings God has bestowed upon us this year.

Sauerkraut Festival 2010

This was our first year participating in The Ohio Sauerkraut Festival in Waynesville. It was a lot of work setting up for the festival but the weather was great (a little hot, but still wonderful) and we met a lot of interesting people including several young girls who are planning weddings for next year. So all in all it was a successful weekend. Here is a sampling of some of the items we had for sale.

Wedding September 18, 2010

This past weekend I had the pleasure of designing the wedding flowers for a very sweet couple, Brittany and Alex. I have known Brittany from the time she was born and I'm amazed at the wonderful young woman she has become. How awesome it is to witness a young couple so much in love and devoted to each other. Thanks for allowing us to be a part of your special day! Brittany chose all white flowers for her bouquet. Roses, Callas, Hydrangea and Stephanotis adorned with pearls are the flowers she chose. The bouquet was hand tied and pearl beading was used for the handle wrap. Plumosa, white roses and ribbon bows attached to candelabras lined the aisle way and were used on the altar candelabras. To finish things off, the aisle was lined with white and pale pink rose petals.

Silk Wedding Bouquets

In addition to our fresh flower wedding bouquets, we also can design them from silk. Many of our bride's like to have a silk bouquet so that they can enjoy their flowers for years to come. However, if you still choose a fresh flower bouquet and you would like to have it preserved, we can provide assistance for that service as well. To see more of our silk bouquets, go to our web site at http://www.bellagardenflorals.com They are pictured on the wedding gallery under silk.

Wedding July 16, 2010

I have been working with Rebecca and her mom Kathy to plan the flowers for her July 16th wedding. Rebecca wanted her bouquets to be full of color and texture, so that is what we did. The flowers used in her wedding were blue Iris, purple Delphinium, orange Roses, pink, orange and yellow Gerber Daisies, yellow Freesia, pink Aster and Stargazer Lilies. Rebecca and Kathy are both so very sweet and I truly enjoyed working with them. I love my job but once the weddings are over, I always miss talking with all of the wonderful people I have the pleasure of meeting.

Wedding June 26th, 2010

The bride Rebecca and I never met until her actual wedding day. The floral consultations were done either by phone or email. So it was exciting to finally meet her...and she was just as sweet in person as she was on the phone. Rebecca loves the wildflower look so I designed her wedding plan around flowers that you would find in a meadow. Her bouquet and her 9 bridesmaid's bouquets matched the altar arrangement that she requested. Sunflowers and a variety of daisies and different greeneries were used to obtain the meadow feel that was created. I love the natural wildflower look myself so I had a lot of fun designing the flowers.

Gerber daisies for our June 18th wedding.

The gerber daisies we received for our June 18th wedding, were absolutely gorgeous. The flowers were so fresh and the colors were vivid and bright. The bride chose the popular color scheme of pink and orange. Besides the bouquets and centerpieces, pink and orange gerbers along with greenery were randomly placed on the outdoor gazebo.

Waynesville High School Graduation 2010

Congratulations to the graduates of Waynesville High School class of 2010 !
Sharon from Waynesville High School, hired me to make the corsages, bouts, podium arrangement and two of the plant stands pictured here for graduation. It was a lot of fun working with the sunflowers and fuji mums that they chose.

Doug & Kristen's Wedding, May 29, 2010

My nephew Doug & his beautiful bride Kristen were married on May 29, 2010 at Lake Lyndsay. The weather was wonderful and the setting at Lake Lyndsay was gorgeous. We are so very happy and blessed to have Kristen officially become a part of our family!
We used a variety of flowers in Doug & Kristen's arrangements...orchids, callas, roses, asiatic lilies, hydrangea, peonies and freesia. As you see in the picture (right) Doug & Kristen also had a memorial table with pictures of those who have passed but held a special place in the ceremony.

Wedding May 15, 2010

Today was the wedding of Becky and Jeff. I was so thankful that the weather cooperated for their outdoor wedding. Becky is such a sweet sweet person and I truly enjoyed every conversation we had together. She chose white calla lilies, white freesia, limonium and light and medium pink roses for her bouquet. The bouquet was hand tied and accented with pink crystals. Bella Garden Florals would like to congratulate Becky and Jeff and we pray that they have a marriage filled with an abundance of love and happiness!

Kristen's Wedding Shower

My nephew Doug is getting married May 29th 2010. He is so blessed to have found the love of his life Kristen. We are all so very happy that she is a part of our family! My sister Linda gave Kristen a wedding shower this past weekend and each guest received one of these arrangements to take home and enjoy. I used coiled silver wire to add interest inside the vase and to suspend dangling hearts outside. A lavender fuji mum is the focal point. Fuji mums are always fun to use because of their unique appearance and they come in a variety of colors.

Valentine's Day 2010

I love my customers, they make my job so enjoyable. Clyde ordered 20 white roses embellished with pearls and a pearl wrapped vase. The roses were for his wife to celebrate their 20 year wedding anniversary. James, the same gentleman who ordered the 12 days of Christmas roses, ordered the mixed vase arrangement of red roses, red gerber daisies and white carnations to give his girlfriend for their first Valentine's Day together.

January 2010

Wow we sure have plenty of snow and I have to say that it is beautiful !! Even though I have taken a few walks in the snow the cold weather has kept me mostly indoors this week and has given me an opportunity to finish up some projects. I have been working on new wedding quotes for 2010 and have also been adding the finishing touches to our web site.

Next week starts our very first contest for our facebook fans. Watch for details or better yet become a fan on our facebook page. In the meantime stay warm and enjoy the beauty !!
